In this session, we’ll review a two-year mission to migrate from a DLP implementation that no longer served the institution’s needs to system selection, testing, and implementation of a new solution. You’ll hear about the twists, turns, bumps, and finally, the triumph of reaching the coveted “managed” state of a new critical security technology.

Presenter Bio: Joseph Patenaude is currently the Information Security Manager at Bangor Savings Bank and is assistant coach of the UMaine Cybersecurity Team. A dynamic presenter, his last MaineBankers session was to take the CEOs of Maine’s Banks through a live tour of the Dark Web.

Nation State Adversaries & America’s Financial Networks: Risks, Tactics, and Intrusions:
In this session we’ll explore America’s primary Nation State Adversaries, like Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran. We’ll explore their varying tactical methods, the threats and risks to America’s financial networks they pose, and how to protect our community banks from these powerful threat-actors.

Cloud and Managed Security Services Providers: How Far Out Do We Go? A Discussion Panel:
In this session we’ve invited a panel of guests from New England’s community banks, and from Cloud Service Providers and Managed Security Services Providers, including core banking systems providers. We’ll begin the session with some preliminary questions from our moderator, then open the floor to Q&A with the panel.
